Original Work Brainstorm

Throughout this week I've been working on finding a mentor. I've reached out to a couple of professionals on LinkedIn but unfortunately have not yet heard a response back yet. I also just contacted the ISM alumni and am hoping to receive a reply soon. Additionally, I brained stormed new ideas for my original work, and later that week this week I submitted my original work proposal and I'm looking forward to getting my idea started. I'm looking at the technological side of the field of oncology including matter dealing with artificial intelligence. I find its contributions to the field of oncology very fascinating. Furthermore, I am also looking at cancer prevention and how to educate others in that matter for my original works project. In class this week we dived deeper into how to set up an interview and how to conduct business/behave ourselves on a mentor visit. We reminded ourselves to arrive early, be professional, and to thank the professional for their time. Also remembering to text Coach Goff that we made it to the location their safely. One of the most valuable things I learned this week was to make sure I was their fifteen minutes in advance just in case any problem or incident occurred.
