Goal Setting

This week in ISM I worked on my S.M.A.R.T goals and Topic Proposal. My S.M.A.R.T Goals for this semester is to reach out to at least ten professionals asking for an interview by October 5th so I can begin the interview process. My other goal is that I will continue to conduct research on each professional and brainstorm question ideas so I can conduct two interviews by November October 31st. I'm hoping to quickly get into the interview process so that I can find a mentor. I decided on my proposal that as a topic of study this year I am interested in Oncology. Specifically, I would like to learn more about precision medicine and artificial intelligence. I have always had a strong interest in medicine. Through my study this year, I would like to focus on adult medical oncology, specifically immunotherapy. However, I am open to studying all types of oncology. My Interest in oncology stems from my passion for science, helping people, and learning new things every day. With my science-based background, determination to learn new things, and problem-solving skills, I have the skills necessary to succeed in this field. I volunteer frequently and feel the drive to do my best to help others in this world.
