Adhesion beginning and Quarantine

This week during the Independent Study and Mentorship program, I decided to stick with the equation I had been researching the previous week to turn it into a long-term research project. My goal is to investigate the effects of E-carmine and colorectal cancer and create a long-term paper on it. This study will include multiple assessments and maybe a lab if granted access. The challenge I face this week is being in quarantine. Since this week, I must endeavor 11 days in my room and facing a needed first-hand source, in a world I cannot venture into yet, I shall use a research interview I never turned in because I still needed to conduct more information on it. In my research this week, building off my previous assessment, I decided to look at adhesion and its effects on our cells and cancer development. Cell to cell adhesion affects cells' polarity, meaning it can affect the particular state, either positive or negative, regarding two poles or electrification.Furthermore, cell-cell adhesiveness is decreased most of the time in cancers, resulting in cancer cells defying the order. This leads to the destruction of the histological structure. Histology concentrates on the normal, how cells and tissues should appear in the absence of infection or disease. In this case, cancer can mess up this process, resulting in a mutated cell that no longer carries out its function. This structural change leads to the progression of a tumor.
