A Closer Look

This week in ISM I took a closer look at precision medicine as I worked on expanding my contact list on Linkin to more than thirty people in the field of oncology. I got my professional outfit last weekend and I'm hoping to wear it to an interview soon. Nonetheless, I worked in Canva to create a resume that went along with my color scheme of green and white. It was really exciting to create a paper that has all my accomplishments and a few volunteer opportunities I've had over the past years. Additionally, I finished assessment number two, which explored more in-depth the details in precision medicine and it's complications. This was a topic that I wanted to get a closer look at after my research from assessment number one about the things going on in the field of oncology as of 2020. In this second article, I learned about how as medical advances in the oncology field occur, precision medicine is becoming the way of the future. Further, into my research, I learned that to optimize patient care the inclusion of genomic data in knowledge-generating health care systems is needed to harness the full informational potential, as long as it went along with patient privacy. I also learned that this type of analytical application will help scientists, analysts, and researchers to see the patterns of a particular infection, disease as it relates to genetics and environmental factors.
